Dwarf Trout Lily

Minnesota Dwarf Trout Lily Erythronium propullans, Minnesota adder's tongue or Minnesota fawnlily, is a rare plant endemic to the Cannon River and North Fork Zumbro River watersheds in Rice, Goodhue County's and the extreme northern edge of Steele County, Minnesota, USA. Flower barely reaches 3 to 4 inches from the ground. Extremely difficult to photograph. Nowhere else does this flower exist in the world. This flower is a federally protected species. Flower (guarded by a park ranger), was found in Big Woods State Park near Nerstrand Minnesota.
